Solar guide for organizations that operate in humanitarian settings

KubeEnergy helps international organizations transition to solar energy through off-grids solutions. “Our goal is to provide organizations with clear pathways to make the transition to solar that fit with their organizational structures, needs and capacities” says Michael Höök, managing partner at KubeEnergy.

They recently worked with the Moving Energy Initiative to transition two IRC operated health clinics in Kakuma, Kenya to solar power. This was an exciting project that is enabling IRC to realize real cost savings that can be invested in providing higher quality healthcare to patients in the camp and local community.

Their team drew some valuable lessons from this experience and the ongoing work in South Sudan and Somalia to develop a guide to institutional solar for organizations that operate in humanitarian settings.

The Solar Energy Handbook

Together with the guide they have also made a short video highlighting some of the key takeaways.
